Vodacom is the shiz – South African youth

11 June 2016

Vodacom has held onto its crown as the coolest telecommunication provider in South Africa.

It is awarded the title based on the results of the Sunday Times Generation Next youth survey, which is in its 12th year.

The biggest moves in this year’s telecoms ranking was MTN losing its second place spot to Cell C.

DStv and Google also slipped from their first and second places as coolest companies in South Africa to fourth and sixth, while Apple climbed from third to second.

Times Media said it polled the opinions of 5,500 young urban South Africans (aged 8–22) to establish which brands are “the coolest of the cool in 2016”.

Overall coolest brand was awarded to Nike, with Samsung, Apple, and Xbox making an appearance in the top 10.
