PSA: Limbo on PS3, PC has additional “secret” content

21 July 2011

When Playdead first told the world they’d be bringing their creepy platformer Limbo over to PC and PS3, the announcement was accompanied with coy hints about some “little extra secret” added to the new releases.

What could it be? GIGANTIC SPIDERS?! Hey, I’m just spitballing over here.

In a recent interview with VG247, studio CEO Dino Patti confirmed that both versions would be packing additional content of some kind or another, but that it’s “something which you will find out” when you played it for yourself. I’m not sure how people are supposed to know what it is if they’ve never played the game before, but maybe that’s part of the secret.

Patti has since reiterated that the extra, bonus, super-secret whatever-it-is is hidden as, yes, “a secret”, but that’s all he’s saying. What a tease.

Limbo is already out now on PS3, and due to launch on PC via Steam on 2 August.
