US mega-retailer Gamestop has inadvertently listed a release date for the just announced Grand Theft Auto V.
The retailer has the game pegged for release on 2 September, 2012, which sounds about right.
However, there is no way of telling whether there is any truth to the revelation.
On one hand, Gamestop may have accidentally leaked the date supplied to them by Rockstar – but on the other, it may just be a clerical error or a place holder date that was accidentally uploaded.
Very little is known about Grand Theft Auto V, although a trailer revealed yesterday has teased a few titbits.
For one, the game will take place in San Andrea, which is the GTA universe equivalent of LA.
Other than that, there is the trademark gritty, cinematic narrative feel which the series has come to be loved for, plenty of sexy cars and liberally dressed women, and some rather snazzy graphics to boot.
