Stealth Bastard now available – for free

5 November 2011

There are few things better than playing a really great game, but one of them is playing a really great game that you (legally) didn’t pay a cent for. It’s human nature to like free stuff – we’ll claw each other’s eyes out for a free t-shirt two sizes too small.

We’re often lured into the promise of free entertainment by games running a “free-to-play” business model, which invariably leads us (if we like the game) to spend more on it than we would have buying it retail anyway.

The idea then of a truly free game is just a pipedream then, isn’t it? Nope. Stealth Bastard, a fully featured stealth platform game is now available for download, and it won’t cost you a thing (except some exorbitant Telkom bandwidth rates).

If you liked Metal Gear Solid or Super Meat Boy (and who didn’t like at least one of those), you’ll love Stealth Bastard, described by the developer as “like Metal Gear Solid and Super Meat Boy had a baby out of wedlock”.

It also comes with additional goodies, such as a level editor, leaderboards and a rating system. Not a bad deal for, well, nothing. Check out the trailer below if you’re still not convinced.

You can dowload the game from the official Stealth Bastard website.
