Lost Planet 3 gameplay gives character insight

14 August 2012

A new gameplay trailer of Capcom’s upcoming Lost Planet 3 has been released from Gamescom 2012.

As for the gameplay itself, the game looks to have taken a much more horror-oriented turn, away from the series’ over-the-top action and chaos.

We also get to see a fair amount of the interior levels, filled with shadowy lighting effects and not-so-friendly creatures crawling in the badly lit corners.

The large outside environments are also shown-off in a mech sequence, where the protagonist takes on some pretty big bugs.

We get an insight into the main character Jim, as he has to deal with the harsh conditions, along with the new grappling-hook tool at his disposal.

Check out the video below, and read more about Lost Planet 3 if you want to know more about the series’ new direction.
