Following Ubisoft’s announcement of a release date for Far Cry 4, 343 Industries have shown us their big title hand and revealed that Halo 5 will be touching down in Q3 of 2015.
The game will be titled Halo 5: Guardians, and according to the developers, it will be bigger and better than Halo 4.
“Halo 5: Guardians is a bigger effort than Halo 4. That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what’s now a brand new and more powerful engine. We’ve invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One’s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen,” said 343 general manager Bonnie Ross.
A first in the series is Halo receiving a subtitle, in this case: Guardians. The Halo series has never featured one before, and may signal an intent to change the direction of Master Chief’s journey.

Well, that’s a relief, considering what a weak effort Halo 4 was. 343 have to seriously up their game.
