Ready to die again and again, again: Dark Souls 3 to be shown at E3

According to the latest rumour from the mill, Namco is set to announce Dark Souls 3 at E3. Apparently, Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne director Hidetaka Miyazaki will be project lead.

Miyazaki was formerly in a supervisory role for Dark Souls 2. Team members Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura co-directed the second Dark Souls game.

The current thinking is that Sony will announce Dark Souls 3 at their E3 press conference on June 15th.

Previously, Dark Souls 2 was a critical and public success with higher Metacritic ratings on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC rating than the original game, but many fans felt that Dark Souls 2’s level of fairness in its trademark ultra-hard difficulty level had been compromised.

On top of this, Sony Development Boss, Shuhei Yoshida, confirmed in late May that Bloodborne will receive some expansion, meaning possibly some form of DLC.

Further details are to be revealed later this year. E3 will take place in Los Angeles, on the week of June 15.
