Bandai Namco may bring Tekken 7 to PC

24 March 2016

Japanese publisher Namco has hinted at the possibility of a Tekken 7 PC release.

Bandai Namco has been circulating a comprehensive survey which is aimed at gauging the interest and preferences players have about fighting games such as Street Fighter and Tekken.

Namco’s survey is complex and relatively long, and is unfortunately not available in all regions.

The survey is not specific for the most part, but does ask players if they would be interested in seeing Tekken 7 released on PC.

Although it is far from a certainty that Tekken 7 will release on PC this year, Namco’s survey seems to imply that the company is seriously considering porting the game across from the PlayStation 4 at some point – not necessarily before the console release.

Tekken 7 runs on Unreal Engine 4, and technically should be relatively compatible across different platforms.

The release date of Tekken 7 is still unknown, but it has been confirmed that the title will be released for the PlayStation 4 and will feature PlayStation VR support.
