This is how people are cheating in Pokemon GO

Pokemon is currently taking the world by storm, with news that Nintendo’s app has already eclipsed Twitter.

However, walking around all day only to find another Zubat is already beginning to feel frustrating, and many of us are wishing we weren’t tethered to our desks.

It’s no surprise that people have already formulated a number of “cheats’ to help them catch em all.

First off, a word of warning, MyGaming does not endorse cheating in Pokemon GO in any way and if you are caught you can expect a ban of around an hour or longer.

A lot of Pokemon GO players are using Pokemapper. This tool collates Pokemon sightings across the world for you, meaning you know exactly where to look when trying to find that elusive Charmander.

It was also recently discovered that it is possible to spoof your location if you can’t leave your desk.

Cheaters are using various location-spoofing apps on both iOS and Android in order to trick the Pokemon GO application’s GPS location.

The following video from Linus Tech Tips gives more detail on how people are trying to cheat in Niantic’s location-based games.
