Blizzard’s hilarious answer to Overwatch trolls

19 August 2016

Fought a grueling battle only to have the opposite team break through in the last seconds and get the payload over the line?

You type in a heartfelt “WP” (Well played) to the opposition and teammates only to be met with a snarky “GG EZ”.

Blizzard has started taking steps against these trolls, as these end of game comments will now be written as funny and charming statements, reports Motherboard.

Gems include “Mommy says people my age shouldn’t suck their thumbs”, “Ah shucks… you guys are the best”, and my personal favorite, “I’m wrestling with some insecurity issues in my life but thank you all for playing with me.”

These changes are currently only implemented on Overwatch’s Public Test Region.

Okay so “GG EZ” is now a no-no… Okay….

Don’t remember being taught that word in school. What does it mean? Oh, right… It’s short hand for a term frequently used and now everybody knows the meaning behind it. I get it…. So… “OMG EZ” or “2EZ” or “EE & ZEE”, none of them could ever possibly catch on? “U SK”… “!WORTHY” “UFiT”, “So weak”, “LAME”… None of these could ever be used so often that people use it instead of “GG EZ”?

Okay, thanks for putting me straight. I never knew the power of those 4 letters when combined in that configuration. From now on I will make it the password on my bank account login screen. It is the undefeatable letter combination…

…oh whatever. !WORTHY of my time any longer.
