Despite the flood of negativity surrounding its announcement trailer, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is still highly anticipated among gamers.
According to a recent survey conducted by analysts at financial firm Piper Jaffray, Call of Duty is the most anticipated upcoming game, ranking higher than Battlefield 1 and Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
The survey asked 100 Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners which upcoming games they were most excited to get their hands on.
33% of the participants said they were most excited for Call of Duty, while only 26% said Battlefield 1.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare could be even more popular than previous games, as a similar study conducted in 2015 showed a 27% result for Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Although a sample size of 100 participants does not accurately reflect the entire gaming market, the data is arguably more reliable than the amount of dislikes a YouTube video receives in relation to its competition.
