Steam, Sony, and Amazon are issuing refunds for No Man’s Sky regardless of playtime

No Mans Sky

No Man’s Sky had a tumultuous launch, with a large amount of gamers expressing their disappointment online.

Many gamers made use of Steam’s refund option, which allows players to refund any title as long as they have less than two hours of playtime and have owned the title for less than two weeks.

However, some players may have exceeded the two hours of playtime before realising the game was not everything Hello Games promised it would be.

Luckily, Steam has begun issuing refunds for No Man’s Sky regardless of both playtime and how long players have owned the game, with gamers successfully getting refunds after over 50 hours of playtime.

Both Sony and Amazon have followed suit, with players also able to refund their game through these services regardless of playtime.

It is not known what financial impact this refund policy will have on the developer, but the game’s critics have applauded the decision to offer refunds regardless of playtime.
