FIFA player ratings are some of the most controversial statistics in all of gaming.
Much like the yearly Ballon d’Or winner, they seemingly cement a football player as the year’s “best”.
For this year’s release FIFA has adjusted its ranking system, meaning FIFA 17’s players are the highest-ranking ever.
It also means that strikers no longer dominate the best players list and other positions (notably Goalkeepers and Centrebacks) have been given their due.

- Luis Suárez – 92
- Manuel Neuer – 92
- Gareth Bale – 90
- Zlatan Ibrahimović – 90

- David De Gea – 90
