While most of us are lucky to scrape enough together for a decent gaming PC, the folks at Techspot just took things to another level.
Dubbed “The Ludicrous Graphics Test”, Techspot aimed to find out the capabilities of dual-flagship setups including the Titan X and R9 Fury X at resolutions as high as 11,520 x 2,160 or three 4K displays.
That’s around $2,400 (R32,491) worth of graphics gear for some context.
Check out the system specifications:
- Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4.50 GHz (Skylake)
- Asrock Z170 Z170 Extreme7+
- 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4-3000
- Samsung SSD 850 Pro 2TB
- Silverstone Strider Series ST1000-G Evolution
- AMD Crimson Edition 16.9.2 Hotfix
- GeForce Game Ready Driver 372.90 – WHQL
- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
How does it run?
Look, no matter how powerful your hardware is – triple 4K gaming is a ludicrous task for even the most ardent of PC gamers to ask for.
That said, even at these completely ludicrous resolutions, the rig is still able to produce totally playable framerates.
Drop the resolution or graphics settings even a little bit and the PC can hit 100 FPS with ease.
