You can play as a pigeon in Battlefield 1

14 October 2016

The early parts of Battlefield 1’s single-player campaign sees you take control of a pigeon.

After player character “Edwards” is trapped and surrounded by the enemy, you take control of a messenger pigeon in order to signal for help.

The early sequence seems to serve as both a brief respite from the fighting but also an opportunity to see just how devastating the “The Great War” was.

Gamers discovered the unusual gameplay sequence during The Battlefield 1 Play First Trial which is now open to EA and Origin Access members.

Battlefield 1 releases on 21 October for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
