Best games you can play this week – space and silence

31 October 2016
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

The colossal gaming month that was October comes to an end this week, and November steps up to take the reins with a huge lineup of massive titles.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

4 November 2016 (Xbox One, PS4, PC)

Last month’s brilliant Battlefield 1 gets it’s biggest competition this week, as the next instalment of Call of Duty unleashes upon anticipated gamers.

Let’s be honest, though, there have been some gamers who have become somewhat jaded and fatigued with the annual entry into the divisive Call of Duty series, leaving many to not even pay attention to what Activision is up to with the franchise, but we’re feeling more curious than usual about CoD: Infinite Warfare, which releases this week.

Even though the core style of the heavily-directed campaign never changes too much, there’s always something interesting in these blockbuster games.

The full-tilt futuristic setting and zero-G space segments look compelling; so we’re expecting some new gameplay twists to hit Activision’s prized series, because it doesn’t look like Call of Duty is going back to WWII anytime soon.

Of course, Infinite Warfare also come packaged with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is quite exciting for fans who never played 2007 hit or those who want to relive the high-point of the series.

Hitman: Episode 6

31 October 2016 (Xbox One, PS4, PC)

The brilliant episodic Hitman series (which has been releasing in portions over the course of the year) reaches its climactic finale this month with Episode 6.

Titled, Hokkaido, the final episode sees Agent 47 travel to Japan and tasked with locating two targets in the hyper-exclusive GAMA private hospital and resort.

The final mission is the culmination of everything players will have learnt in terms of both gameplay and story over the course of the episodes.

As players have come to expect, the location will also be used for Escalation Contracts, Elusive Targets and community-created Featured Contracts.

Plus, we’ll have the usual array of weapon and gear unlocks that can be used across all previous locations.
