EVE Online is going free-to-play in about two weeks, and developer CCP has released a trailer showing off the game’s basic concepts.

The game is set to go free-to-play on 15 November, and it is important to note that free players will be classified as Alpha Clones, with some gameplay features being either limited or unavailable to free players unless they subscribe.

While this payment model is relatively common among other MMOs, EVE Online is a unique game, and it will be interesting to see how effective and balanced this new free-to-play system is.

To find out more about Alpha Clones and Omega Clones, watch this helpful video from CCP.
