EA discounts Battlefield, Medal of Honor games in final day of Steam sale

8 May 2011

Last week EA treated PC gamers to a magnificent seven day sale, which saw a variety of the publisher’s most celebrated franchises discounted significantly. These included games from the Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Crysis, Dead Space and The Sims franchises.

To wrap up the sale, EA has gone out with a bang, discounting recent Battlefield and Medal of Honor games.

The final day say is currently running, and should expire at around 7PM this evening, local time. So today only, you can buy the following:

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 $10.20 (R68)

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam $7.49 (R52)

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Spectat kit upgrade $2.99 (R21)

Battlefield 2 Complete Collection $5.00 (R33)

Medal of Honor $29.99 (R201)

Medal of Honor: Airborne $2.50 (R16)

Bad Company 2 is easily one of the best online shooter released to date, and the Vietnam DLC was utterly superb. Then there is the entire Battlefield 2 collection which may be just what the doctor ordered for those looking to beef up their online cred before Battlefield 3 drops later this year. The only game on this list which I don’t Steam users buying in droves is Medal of Honor for a still relatively hefty R200, given that the game met a lukewarm critical reception.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Do any of these prices have you reaching for your wallet, or do you already own most of the worthwhile titles on the list?
