Among Us servers go down after DDOS attack

28 March 2022

Last Friday, the European and North American servers of the popular multiplayer game Among US suffered a DDOS attack.

Developer InnerSloth worked over the weekend to restore the servers and contain the attack – servers were intermittently active during this time, as indicated on Twitter.

As of the time of writing, the official Twitter account of Among Us has updated players by writing “servers maybe ok now” on its Twitter profile

This attack is not the first such incident, as Among Us suffered a similar incident in 2020 due to a hack conducted by an individual named Eris Loris, which saw nearly 5 million players impacted.

Though unfortunate, the current DDOS attack has only impacted EU and NA servers, so those playing on other servers should not have been affected.

Innersloth has indicated that it will keep players updated on the status of the servers and the attack.
