Epic Games may not have the massive roster of games Steam boasts, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t working to close the gap.
We are reaching the end of April and its releases, so it’s time to turn our attention to next month and the games that it offers.
For Epic games, this includes five notable titles that will appeal to a wide range of tastes.
While the PC versions of some of these games are exclusive to Epic Games, others are also on Steam.
Salt and Sacrifice – 10 May
The sequel to the side-scrolling souls-like RPG Salt and Sanctuary, Salt and Sacrifice, will continue on the themes of its predecessor while offering expanded gameplay and new and improved features.
The player will take the role of a Marked Inquisitor tasked with hunting down the Mages that have plunged the world into chaos and ruin.
You will craft weapons and armour, wield spells and tools, and speak with NPCs scattered around the grim world to achieve this.
Salt and Sacrifice releases on PS4, PS5 and as an Epic Games exclusive on PC.
Evil Dead: The Game – 12 May
Evil Dead: The Game places you in the shoes of Ash Williams and his friends from the Evil Dead franchise in an over-the-top PVP multiplayer experience.
You play in a team of four survivors who will explore, loot, and manage their fears as you search for key items that can seal the breaches between worlds.
This title was inspired by all three Evil Dead films as well as the original Ash vs Evil Dead TV series.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong – 19 May
Enter the world of Vampire: The Masquerade in Swansong, the latest instalment in the franchise from developer Big Bad Wolf Studio.
In this game, you will play as three different vampires navigating Boston — each with different objectives, views and abilities, but with interwoven storylines.
The gameplay of Swansong is choice-driven and centred around analysing situations carefully, making decisions, and ensuring the existence of vampires remains unknown to humanity.

Sniper Elite 5 – 26 May
Sniper Elite 5 is the latest instalment in the award-winning series and will introduce players to thrilling tactical third-person sniper action.
You will play as a US Ranger named Karl Fairburne, who is tasked with weakening the Atlantikwall fortifications along the coast of Brittany in 1944 and stopping a secret Nazi project known as Operation Kraken.
Sniper Elite 5 notably introduces a unique multiplayer feature that will allow you to play in co-op with your friends while playing the campaign and let other players invade your world, further adding to the sniper experience.

My Time At Sandrock – 26 May
My Time At Sandrock will release into early access on 26 May and has players assume the role of a fledgling builder.
It will be up to you and your tool-set to gather resources, construct machines, and save the town from economic ruin.
The game takes place in a wholesome post-apocalyptic world where humans have successfully restarted civilisation.
