The biggest titles coming in May

The month of May is here, and with it comes a new set of releases to look forward to across platforms.

Although there are no releases on par with Elden Ring or Horizon Forbidden West, there are still several games that are well worth a look.

Below we have detailed the five biggest releases this month in chronological order.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters

Chaos Gate Daemonhunters is the next big game set in the Warhammer 40k universe and was developed by Complex Games.

The game features a turn-based combat system with small parties of characters that can die permanently – a feature that XCOM fans will probably recognise.

As the player, you will take command of a squad of Grey Knights – Daemon Slayers clad in massive suits of mechanical armour and armed with bolters and power weapons – and work to combat the insidious plans of Chaos.

Source of Madness

Source of Madness is a side-scrolling roguelite inspired by Lovecraftian horror, which uses procedural generation and AI Machine learning to create new and unique monsters with every run.

The player will take the role of a new acolyte as they embark upon a mind-bending journey and encounter surreal locations and a deep combat system.

Source of Madness releases on 11 May on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

Evil Dead: The Game

Based upon the Evil Dead universe, Evil Dead: The Game will allow players to use characters such as Ash, Scotty and Lord Arthur as they strive to survive.

The player will be able to play as either the forces of goodor those of evil, and can make use of all manner of gruesome tools that are designed spectacularly.

Evil Dead: The Game releases on 13 May on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Epic Games). It is slated to come soon to Switch as well.

Deadcraft

Deadcraft is a zombie survival in which you will struggle for your life in a world overrun by the undead and choose who to help and who to fight.

Notably, in Deadcraft, the zombies aren’t just enemies but can also act as minions or be used to create weapons.

Deadcraft releases on 19 May on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC (Steam)

Sniper Elite 5

The latest instalment in the Sniper Elite series, Sniper Elite 5, will task players with contending with a Nazi plot on the coast of Normandy that could threaten to bring an end to the Allies.

The fifth game in the series also focuses on multiplayer, allowing one player to invade the world of another to create intense PVP sniper duals.

Sniper Elite 5 releases on 26 May on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
