Free-to-play ‘Roller Champions’ releasing soon

20 May 2022

Ubisoft announced on Wednesday that Roller Champions will release on 25 May, and will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The free-to-play roller-sports action game will also be made available on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 through backward compatibility, and will release on Nintendo Switch, Stadia, and Amazon Luna at a later date.

Roller Champions is a 3v3 classic roller derby online multiplayer game.

The goal is straightforward – reach five points before your opponents do – and the basics are easy to grasp.

Keep control of the ball by skating and passing, steal it from your opponents with a well-timed tackle, and make a full lap of the oval arena to open the goal before taking your shot.

The game features a variety of game modes, and each match lasts about seven minutes.

You’ll also have access to the free Roller Pass which allows players to unlock gear for your skater, like helmets, gloves, outfits, and skates, as well as poses, goal FX, emotes, and other cosmetic items.

Additionally, there will be a premium Roller Pass for purchase that will give players access to more exclusive gear.

Roller Champions will support cross-play and progression, so you can play with your friends no matter what platform you choose to play on.

The game will be available for PC gamers via the Ubisoft store.
