Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the fourth game in the Dragon Age series, has been confirmed by Bioware – nearly four years after it was first teased.
The game is slated to launch in 2023 and is named after the title of the elven mage Solus, who was prominent in the third game, Dragon Age: Inquisition as a companion and the main antagonist of its final DLC.
This is not surprising given the ending of Inquisition which very much implied a coming conflict with Solus whose powers had been restored at the finale of the game and whose goal was to save his people – potentially damning all others in the process.
However, Bioware has restated that like all previous games, you won’t need to have played earlier entries in the series to know what is going on in Dreadwolf and enjoy yourself.
Bioware also indicated that there will be more information about the title coming later this year.
