Amazon Games announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with independent developer Disruptive Games for an upcoming online multiplayer action-adventure game based on a new IP.

While details are scarce, Amazon has said that the game will be a multiplatform title built for both cooperative and competitive gameplay.

Disruptive Games is known for its work on titles including Diablo II: Resurrected, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, and Godfall.

“The talented team at Disruptive Games is creating a fresh take on the multiplayer action-adventure genre, with strong game design and rich world-building that we’re excited to help bring to players,” said Amazon Games vice president Christoph Hartmann.

This publishing agreement follows Amazon Games’ successful launches of New World and Lost Ark, with the latter reaching over 10 million players since its release in February 2022.

“The Amazon Games team has embraced our vision for this game and the community it can build,” said Disruptive Games CEO Eric Ellis.

“Together we are looking forward to building an online experience that kindles creativity and fosters positive social interactions,” he added.

“With Amazon Games’ world-class publishing support, already demonstrated by the wildly successful launches of New World and Lost Ark, we’re well on our way to bringing this project to players,” said Ellis.

Additionally, Amazon Games has hinted at multiple unannounced projects in development, both at its internal studios and with other external developers including Glowmade, an independent studio based in Guildford, England.
