A promotional video for the Steam Summer Sale 2022 was leaked by SteamDB on Twitter, and this has revealed the date the sale will start.
According to the video, the sale will start on 23 June 2022 at 19:00 SAST and will run until 7 July 2022.
During the two-week period, Valve will release waves of new deals that will see all kinds of different games receive huge discounts, from open-world and sims to racing games, battle royales, and more.
The sale will also feature new game profiles via the Points Shop, as well as animated backgrounds, mini-profiles, avatars, and colour schemes from different titles.
While the magnitude of the discounts has not been leaked, the video did reveal a few of the games that will be on sale.

- V Rising
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Total War: Warhammer III
- God of War

The Summer Sale will follow the Steam Next Fest, which will be showcasing over 1,000 demos for the newest upcoming games across almost every genre.
The Fest will take place today at 19:00 SAST, and the upcoming summer sale on Thursday may give you the opportunity to purchase some of the games that are showcased at a discounted price.
Valve is likely to share details regarding its Summer Sale during the Steam Next Fest or sometime over the next 48 hours.
