Ghost of Tsushima PC release date confirmed

7 March 2024

Sony has confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima on PC will be released 16 May this year.

The PC release was announced on X (formerly Twitter), with further details being revealed in a PlayStation Blog post.

Nixxes Software is handling the port, which isn’t surprising as it has brought other PlayStation exclusives to PC, and for the past year has been collaborating with Sucker Punch.

The post also revealed that the Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima will be the version being ported to PC and will include the full game, the Iki Island expansion, and the cooperative online multiplayer Legends mode.

Likewise, the port will benefit from a range of PC enhancements, as listed below:

  • Unlocked framerate
  • New graphical settings and presets
  • Customisable mouse and keyboard controls
  • Ultrawide monitor support (including 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 resolutions)
  • Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 with upscaling and frame generation options
  • Extensive controller support (this includes DualSense controllers)

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is now available for pre-purchase on Steam and Epic Games – with early in-game unlocks at launch for those that pre-purchase.

These include:

  • New Game+ Horse travel companion.
  • Traveler’s Attire – fit for a seasoned warrior.
  • Broken Armour dyes from Baku’s shop.

The Steam version of the game also has an exclusive offer where if you link your Steam and PlayStation Network accounts, you’ll get the following early unlocks:

  • Archery Master’s Attire
  • Charm of Canine Recruitment

Ghost of Tsushima was first released in 2020 on PS4 and received a Director’s Cut upgrade for PS4 and PS5 in 2021, thanks to its popularity.

Its release on PC in May will bring the excellent title to a new group of players and allow veteran players to experience it anew.
