Call of Duty 4’s Star Wars: Galactic Warfare mod launched

6 July 2011

After two and a half years in development, Black Monkeys has finally released its Star Wars: Galactic Warfare total conversion mod for Call of Duty 4.

“This version contains seven maps (Mos Eisly, Bespin, Bestine, Not A Cave, Jundland, Jundland Dusk as well as the new Anchorhead). There is also a new killstreak called ‘viper droid’. The Y-Wing and Tie-Bomber are now part of the killstreak ‘airstrike’ (finally!),” reads the accompanying stuff over on Mod DB.

You can grab the mod at the link above, but you’d best be quick about it before LucasArts dispatches a C&D, just in case anybody should think these guys invented Star Wars or something.

In a happy coincidence, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is going on the cheap today on Steam, for just $9.99. You have no excuses. The Rebel Alliance depends on you, soldier. Or the Galactic Empire, if you prefer. I always thought their white armour was totally swanky. Say what you like about their methods, those Stormtroopers turned heads.
