The South African EA Origin store is dishing out single-use voucher codes that will get gamers a 50% discount on a single item purchased from the digital store front. Those gamers who already have an EA account registered for the South African region may have already received their code via e-mail.
We caught up with EA South Africa to get some further detail on the offer.
“This is a special offer that can only be obtained via the code in the [Origin Download Manager] and is not available anywhere else. The offer is also only valid for a limited period – 13 to 19 July 2011,” said EA.
“New customers are only required to sign up for an Origin account upon purchase of a product. To redeem the voucher code, customers add their product of choice to the Shopping Cart and when checking out the Shopping Cart, can input the code to obtain the discount before making payment,” explained EA.
“The voucher code is not valid for pre-orders, Points, Timecards, Warhammer and Free2Play items, titles released from April 2011 and Crysis 2,” concluded EA.
