Dead Rising 2: Off the Record PC release date, DRM, system specs detailed

Capcom has announced that PC gamers will be getting Dead Rising 2: Off the Record on 11 October.

The information posted on the official Capcom Unity Blog as well as various digital retail platforms confirms that the game will use Games For Windows Live SSA DRM, which means you will need an internet connection to activate the game, but will be able to play offline.

Capcom has also posted the final system requirements:

•    Operating system: Windows Vista/XP, Windows 7
•    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or better, AMD Athlon X2 2.2 Ghz or better
•    Memory: 2 GB RAM
•    Hard disk space: 8.5 GB free hard drive space
•    Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS or better, ATI Radeon HD 3850 or better
•    DirectX: DirectX9

Dead Rising 2: Off the record is a reinterpretation of the events that took place in Dead Rising 2. The game will feature a new storyline as well as some gameplay enhancements and technical tweaks such as load-time enhancements and improved network performance.
