In an interview with Cyberlink, Hi-Rez Studios COO, Todd Harris, confirmed that Tribes: Ascend will kick off a closed beta on 4 November.
“The team’s working hard for the closed beta to start Friday, November 4th. So, a few weeks away. We plan on announcing that more broadly next week, and as you may have known if you’ve been following us, we wanted to start in September.”
You can get into the beta one of three ways: you can follow the Hi-Rez facebook and twitter pages, or pre-order the game.
Pre-ordering will get you the VIP Starter pack which includes beta access, a 33% cost saving and some extra in-game features.
In case you haven’t been following it, Tribes: Ascend is an Unreal Engine 3 powered online first person shooter developed by Hi-Rez Studios that is being released exclusively on PC.
It is due out early next year.
