Weekly PC sales Chart for first week of March

Below is a list of the USA’s top selling PC game titles for the beginning of March. The list includes  the top ten retail sales as well as Direct2Drives’s top ten.

NPD Retail sales (3/1 – 3/7)

1.    Empire: Total War– Its hardly surprising that Creative Assembly’s historical real time strategy title debuts at number one for the week.

2.    World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King – The expansion pack for the world’s biggest MMO gets knocked from its number one spot. It’ll be back.

3.    Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning – Mythic’s MMO sees a rise in popularity as a result of its price reduction.

4.     The Sims 2 Double Deluxe

5.    Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II – Read our review

6.    The Sims Carnival

7.    Empire: Total War – Special Forces Edition

8.    Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 Premier Edition

9.    World of Warcraft Battle Chest

10.    World of Warcraft
