We usually do not get too excited about games based on comic books or movies, but Batman: Arkham Asylum is looking like it may actually turn out quite nicely. Based on some of the gameplay footage we have seen, Arkham Asylum looks like the kind of game that we would probably choose to play on either the Xbox 360 or PS3.
However, having said that, the right PC is usualy capable of squeezing a bit more out of a game in terms of visual quality. With that in mind, here are the official system requirements for the game PC version of the game, as posted in the Eidos forums
Minimum
• CPU: Intel single core 3 Ghz or AMD equivalent
• Memory: XP = 1 GB, Vista = 2GB
• GPU: Shader Model 3 NVidia 6600 or ATI 1300 or higher
Recommended
• CPU: Pentium D 3Ghz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Dual core)
• Memory: XP = 2GB, Vista = 3GB
• GPU: NVidia 7900 GT or higher
Interestingly, the recommended specs are quite reasonable, considering the 7900 GT is now three generations old.
