Brazen CoD4 becomes Team Vodacom

6 August 2009

Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) Team Brazen is no more – the team has picked up a sponsorship from Vodacom and has changed their name to Team Vodacom. It looks like the team will be playing under Vodacom tags as of immediate effect.

Vodacom Team Captain, Stephen White, says he can’t disclose the details of the sponsorship as yet, but confirmed that the sponsorship is on and that the players have changed the tags.

“Obviously we’re really excited. It’s amazing that a company like Vodacom would sponsor us. We’ve been at the top of our game for a long time in CoD4 and it’s great that we’re now getting backing,” he says.

This means that Brazen is no longer after their Team Fortress 2 team disbanded recently and the team that was playing as their Counter Strike Source team is now playing as Eternal Conflict once more.

The former Brazen clan leader Warren ‘Zig’ Mitchell seems to be no longer involved with the team. With the CoD4 team being the last remaining Brazen team, the clan will now cease to exist.

Details of the sponsorship will be made available on Do Gaming as soon as they become available.
