Modern Warfare 2 PC version not delayed

20 October 2009

Despite media announcements that the PC version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 had been pushed back two weeks to the 24th of November, Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling has confirmed that the release is still planned to coincide with the console version.

Through his Twitter account Bowling revealed that there will be “No delay on PC for Modern Warfare 2.” and added that players will “also have Prestige Mode in PC as well as lots of Steam support. Hopefully min specs will be soon”

Bowling also told VG247 that there is “officially no” delay for the PC and that a Steam version would also be released.

This means that PC gamers will be able to pick up a copy of Modern Warfare 2 on the 10th of November at the same time as their PS3 and Xbox 360 counterparts.

Unfortunately however, it has been confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will retail for R499 locally – some R100 more than the average newly released PC title.
