In recent times Valve’s digital retail service Steam has become a far more attractive prospect that it once was, thanks to the ludicrous specials it runs on a regular basis.
Throughout December Steam ran specials on a massive selection of awesome games, including Braid, Plants Vs Zombies, Trine, Zombie Driver, Osmos, Batman Arkham Asylum, Torchlight and loads more.
Gamers will be pleased to learn that Steam is continuing with its specials, and is offering all Bioshock 2 pre-orders 10 percent off, as well as the original game for free. If you already own Bioshock then you can give it to another Steam user as a gift.
The bundle costs $45 (R340) which is slightly cheaper than what BTGames, Zaps and Kalahari are currently pricing the game at (+- R350).
While this special will only really appeal to uncapped internet users for now, the launch of WebAfrica’s local Steam mirror soon may make specials like this a far more viable option for gamers in the near future.
Steam is also currently running a special on the Men of War series, with all of the games now available for 66% off.
