Incredible Connection has announced that it will be teaming up with local Internet Service Provider Afrihost to bring gamers a One Night Call of Duty 4 Cup.
The event will take place on January 31 and will see 16 teams go head to head over the space of the evening.
The winning team will receive 5x5GB Afrihost prepaid accounts, with second place getting 5x3GB accounts.
Afrihost has already become a firm favourite with local internet enthusiasts and gamers thanks to its extremely low bandwidth pricing.
iBurst’s gaming subsidiary iGame will be providing the servers for the event which will be hosted online, which will kick off at 6pm sharp.
The tournament will employ the standard rule set used in most local competitive Call of Duty competitions, with a knife round being used to determine which team chooses the final map or which side to play on. The official map pool includes, mp_citystreets, mp_crash, mp_crossfire, mp_backlot, mp_strike. Team captains are required to be present in #bfbgaming on Shadowfire on IRC or in the Incredible Connection channel on Xfire.
Teams wishing to enter should contact Trevor at [email protected] with the email heading Incredible Afrihost Cup: [Team Name]. A full roster of players must be included in the email, as well as the name of the captain. Teams must consist of 5 players and 2 substitutes.
The first 16 teams to submit valid registrations will be entered, and 3 additional teams will be registered as replacements. Replacement teams will be entered in the event that any of the registered teams do not show up for the tournament by 6:10pm on the day.
