After Dark Souls was ported from consoles to PC, many gamers were unhappy with the capped framerate, 720p rendering and Games for Windows Live features, but From Software promise that it won’t happen with the sequel.
“A lot of it was not very well done, sort of half-assed,” said Dark Souls 2 director Yui Tanimura regarding the games transition to PC.
This time around, the team at From Software have been developing the PC version alongside the console iterations, and Tanimura knows the expectations from PC gamers.
“We will definitely put more priority on the PC,” Tanimura continued. “Last time, we started working on PC after the console version was complete. This time, because we are considering the PC from the beginning, you can be sure there will be more care put into PC development.”
Dark Souls II will release in 2014 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
