Borderlands PC patch released

3 February 2010

Developer Gearbox has released yet another update for the PC version of Borderlands, bringing with it a few graphical tweaks and improving multiplayer connectivity.
The update, entitled v1.2.1, weighs in at 191MB and is currently available on FileShack. This is for retail copies only; gamers who purchased Borderlands through a digital distribution network such as Steam will be required to download the patch from that client.

According to Gearbox’s patch notes include the following:

–    Multiplayer connectivity has been improved; users should no longer be required to forward ports to host or join multiplayer games
–    Players who experienced distorted shadows or graphical glitches after update 1.0.1 should no longer experience these issues
–    The 3D Vision crosshair has been improved

Borderlands, which was released in October 2009, was 2009’s most critically acclaimed fresh IP.

Gearbox has released two DLC packages for the game since it hit shelves and is poised to let loose another (The Secret Armory of General Knoxx), which will raise player level cap, in the coming weeks.
