World of Warcraft to introduce iPhone auction access

4 February 2010

According to Blizzard representative on the official World of Warcraft forums, Bornakk, the developer is planning to release a service which will allow WoW players access to the in-game auction house from PCs outside the game, as well as from an iPhone.

This means that WoW addicts will be able to keep to keep tabs on their items, as well as keep an eye out for new items in the auction house from work, the car, the beach, and pretty much anywhere else you can take an iPhone or laptop.

The service will not however be completely free: “It’s important to note here that certain elements of the service will be premium-based,” said Bornakk , “which we’ll go into more detail on once the service functionality is finalized.”
