2K Games has announced that developer Fireaxis Games is currently hard at work on the fifth instalment of the iconic franchise.
The game will be called Sid Meir’s Civilization V and it is scheduled for release this fall (northern hemisphere), which means we should expect it towards the end of the year.
Early screenshots show off some impressive visuals, and the game has been built on a new engine. It will also support multiplayer, and will be mod-friendly.
