It has emerged over the weekend that Blizzard is still on track to release highly anticipated RTS sequel Starcraft II in the first half of 2010.
The game’s lead producer Chris Sigaty dropped some insightful information regarding Starcraft II’s release date during Blizcast – Blizzard’s official podcast.
During the post Sigaty let slip Blizzard’s beta forecast for the title:
“We were targeting three to five months for the beta, we’re really at a three month period of time for the beta at this point. We are still targeting the first half of this year”
Blizzard initially revealed that it would target a beta run of roughly six months, however a three month beta would give the developer a chance to make the necessary changes before releasing the game within the first half of the year.
