Command and Conquer 4 experiences DRM issues

23 March 2010

According to Eurogamer recently released RTS Command and Conquer 4 is experiencing issues regarding playability with the game’s DRM system, which requires an always on internet connection.

Game purchasers (the title was released on Friday) revealed this weekend that the problems experienced are similar to those found in DRM equipped UBisoft titles such as Assassin’s Creed 2 and may involve a loss of saved progress or complete game failure.

DRM schemes which require always on internet connections have been criticised heavily by both gamers and the gaming press. Despite this, several studios have given the go ahead for their own versions in a bid to limit piracy.
