Steam Exploration Sale now on

27 November 2014

Valve has kicked off the Steam Exploration Sale, with many desirable PC games on offer for discounted prices.

The sale, which some gaming publications are referring to as the Fall Sale, kicked off late last night in the States and is set to run until 2 December 2014.

“Take advantage of huge savings throughout the Steam store on thousands of titles. Plus, discover new and recommended games on your personalized Exploration Sale page,” said Valve.

Going through the games on sale and the excitement readers of various sites are expressing, I must admit that it would be cool to be a hardcore PC gamer right now. I am still saving for my PS Plus subscription for next year and the season pass for Destiny.

Some of the games on sale at the time of writing included:

  • Civilization: Beyond Earth – $34.99
  • Goat MMO Simulator – $4.99
  • Lords of the Fallen – $29.99
  • Don’t Starve – $3.74
  • Company of Heroes 2 – $9.99
  • The Evil Within – $20.39
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – $7.49
  • The Long Dark – $9.99

A disclaimer underneath the sale header states that “these offers end” and gives a day and hour count. From the look of it, the games will refresh every 48 hours.

My wallet is hurting a bit from this sale, but it was so worthwhile, unbelievable value. I was able to delete the pirated game collection i had been working on for the last 6 years after this sale, pretty much replaced everything.
