Minecraft developer’s new game secretly released

Minecraft developers Mojang have quietly released a new game on Steam.

Titled Crown and Council, the game is a free-to-play conquest game created by the studio’s Henrik Petterson in a recent game jam.

It’s Crown and Council, a fast-paced strategy game about conquering land and obliterating rival monarchs.

Click adjacent land tiles to subdue them with your army, earning gold to fund further expeditions, defensive forts, naval attacks, universities and more.

Muscle your opposition off the map! There can be only one ruler in these lands!

The title appears fleshed-out, despite the relatively simple pixel-art. If anybody can pull of a game with simple graphics, it’s the creators of Minecraft.

You can check out the launch trailer below.
