Stardew Valley 1 million copies

Stardew Valley is set to receive a lot more features, such as multiplayer, localisation and even a console version of the game.

A blog post by the game’s developer has stated that multiplayer, localisation and a console port are “actively being worked on.”

Chucklefish will be assisting the game’s singular creator with the technical aspects of these upcoming changes.

Stardew Valley is an independently-developed role-playing game with sandbox elements and a retro graphics style. Featuring gameplay reminiscent of Harvest Moon, the game has gained a massive following – selling over 1 million copies.

Developer ConcernedApe will continue to deliver updates and is currently working towards a 1.1 update for Stardew Valley, which will feature the following:

  • More late-game content
  • New farm buildings
  • New crops
  • New artisan goods
  • New advanced farming/producing mechanics
  • Shane and Emily will be marriage candidates. They will also have more events and dialogue as a result.
  • More marriage content for all spouses
  • More events for the non-marriage NPC’s
  • Improvements/Additions to mining and combat
  • Ability to move buildings and other convenience features
  • More bug fixes
  • More secrets
  • More small, fun touches to the world

There is no official timetable for the release of multiplayer or the 1.1 update, but fans of Stardew Valley can stay updated by checking the official website.
