Shocking new video shows just how much Ubisoft are downgrading their games’ visuals

6 June 2016

Youtuber CrowbCat recently posted a comparison video showing the difference between Ubisoft’s stage demonstrations and their final product.

CrowbCat encouraged viewers to focus not only on textures and lighting, but also on animation, level design, assets, physics, and sound.

The footage was recorded in 1080p at max settings on a PC with a controller.

Ubisoft has come under heavy criticism in recent years, as gamers (particularly those playing on PC) were disappointed in the visual fidelity of Ubsioft’s games, which appear to have been purposely downgraded from the footage shown before release.
