Microsoft didn’t announce a single Xbox One exclusive at E3

Not one game was announced to be exclusively heading to Microsoft’s Xbox One console.

State of Decay 2, Forza Horizon 3, Dead Rising 4 and Gwent were all officially unveiled for the first time but none of them will only be playable on Xbox One.

Part of this lack of exclusivity is due to Microsoft’s Play Anywhere program, which ties the Microsoft Windows 10 and Xbox platforms together with the same games, save files, and achievements.

Many games are available as Microsoft exclusives, but fewer and fewer are exclusive to the Xbox.

With the announcement of the new Project Scorpio console, it is likely that this trend will continue as Microsoft continues to push cross-platform gaming.
