Blizzard will enforce a one-hero limit on Competitive Play teams in Overwatch, reports GameSpot.
This will prevent competitive teams from using strategies involving picking the same heroes, such as an all-Bastion lineup.
The one-hero limit does not apply to Quick Play however, meaning that players can still employ their 6-man Torbjorn strategies in the more casual game mode.
The one-hero limit will appear on the Public Test Realm soon and will then be added in to the main game.
Blizzard is also revising the mechanics of the Competitive Play system, including the resolution of ties.
Blizzard also plan to introduce a number of balance changes to Overwatch’s heroes with D.Va and Zenyatta first in line.
“Zenyatta is getting a little more shields, and he goes a lot faster when he uses his Ultimate,” said Blizzard principal designer Scott Mercer.
“D.Va’s Defense Field, instead of clicking it and it lasting three or four seconds and having a long cooldown, it’s now something where you can toggle it on and off and there’s a meter that runs that.”
