Sony brings back highly requested PS4 features to the PS5 in a recent patch.
This patch re-introduces dynamic wallpaper and themes to the console – allowing users to change the PS5’s wallpaper on the ‘Explore’ tab.
The new feature, however, is currently only available in beta, so it hasn’t been pushed out to all PS5 owners and is only being tested in the United States.
However, other regions should expect to see changes soon.
When this time does roll around, those who have opted-in to using beta firmware on their consoles will be able to take part in the testing as well.
Currently the beta provides access to six different background options to choose from – all of which have PlayStation iconography.
The Explore tab has also been overhauled to now feature status bars that highlight your storage and battery life of the DualSense controller in use – among various additions.
