Machinarium coming to PSN

1 November 2011

Machinarium – ring a bell?

Released on PC back in 2009, this beautifully-crafted point-and-click adventure stole the hearts of billions of people all over the world.

Or rather, it would have, had it been released on every platform ever.

Luckily, developer, Amanita Design, has spent the past couple of years doing exactly that – working hard to port this stunning game onto a multitude of platforms (including MAC, Steam, Android and Apple’s iOS).

And now it’s also coming to PS3 via PSN in February 2012.

Better yet, according to Amanita founder, Jakub Dvorský, “[The] PlayStation version will be the ultimate version of Machinarium.”

With the addition of trophies and zooming  – so you can get a nice detailed look at the beautiful environments – Dvorský describes the PS3 version as more “fluent”.

We’re assuming that means wonderful and super and stuff.

When people ask me to describe Machinarium and what it’s about and why they should care – I’m usually at a loss for words; so I just show them a picture and say “JUST LOOK AT IT.”

So here you go:

If you haven’t played this game yet, then now would be a good time to look into it.

Amanita is also currently looking at bringing their next game, Samarost 3, to current gen-consoles – as well as the Wii U – so expect a lot more pretty things to head your way in the months to come.
